    Sales Consultant – Golf Clubs in Birmingham area

    Position: Sales Consultant

    Location: Lickey Hills, Harborne and Hilltop

    Salary: £16k basic plus commission

    Contract: Permanent 40 hours per week

    Closing: 31st May 2017

    A unique opportunity has arisen for a Sales Consultant to maximise the sale of our golf products including memberships, pay and play golf, golf societies and events. The role will be split between our 3 clubs in the Birmingham area and you will need to spend one day a week at each:

    • Lickey Hills

    • Harborne

    • Hilltop

    The role

    • To liaise regularly with the General Manager, Divisional Manager and Group Sales & Membership Manager, to implement agreed sales and promotional campaigns

    • To grow membership by increasing and utilising the sites data bases

    • To implement the marketing plan to maximise sales of memberships, golf societies, functions, business meetings and casual golfers to both sites, implementing effective prospecting, networking and referral schemes

    • To forecast accurate membership  trends and set a site target based on a business plan agreed with the General Manager

    • To work closely with all areas of the business to ensure maximisation of potential prospects and set internal targets with the General Manager for all staff with respect to sales

    • To train site employees so as to ensure that they have extensive product knowledge to maximise membership opportunities

    • To work with local Sales Managers to ensure a consistent and reciprocal and fair membership approach is in place and that local promotional opportunities are maximised

    About you

    • You will need to do some telemarketing and will have set targets to achieve so you will have a positive outlook , be motivated and will have drive to succeed and get results.

    • Knowledge of the golf industry is not essential but you will need to be adaptable and learn quickly about our products and services and be comfortable selling and promoting them.

    • Good excel skills

    • Good financial acumen

    • Excellent customer and communication skills

    • This role would be ideal for someone looking to advance to the next step up of their sales career. 1 year sales or telesales experience is required.
