    Salary:               £21,000

    Job Type:           Full time, fixed term until 31 December 2017 (40hrs) may include weekends & evenings

    Mytime Active is a social enterprise delivering a range of prevention and treatment health services across the UK. We are passionate about facilitating active healthy lifestyles for local residents in the areas we work.


    Key responsibilities (not limited to):

    • Deliver group nutrition workshops within the Child Weight Management team across various community locations.

    • Engage children and families in healthy eating and healthy lifestyle topics, achieving behaviour change at programme completion.

    • Prepare for weekly group sessions through adherence to a programme manual.

    • To work as a member of the Child Weight Management team to provide comprehensive, effective and culturally sensitive multi-component weight management programmes to children and families.

    • Responsible for accurate collection and recording of children’s data and pre/post programme measurements, uploading to Mytime Active database

    • Responsible for the marketing of programmes and recruitment / retention of participants

    • Working with key local stakeholders to improve referral pathways into service


    Person Specification



    • A professional qualification in nutrition or dietetics and are educated to degree level or equivalent.

    • You should be a registered nutritionist with at least 1 year nutrition experience which will include some healthy lifestyle community based work. 

    • Enthusiastic about improving health and wellbeing and able to demonstrate a suitable qualification (minimum Associate Nutritionist)

    • Experience of managing/facilitating large groups and that you feel confident in doing so and in being able to motivate and inspire the group.



    • Experience of working with children and families

    • A background or training in behaviour change.



    • You must have successfully completed MEND Programme theory training before delivering the MEND Programme. This training will be provided on successful appointment.

    • All appointments subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure.
